The Village Treasurer and Finance

Diane Michaels is the Village Treasurer. She retired after a 30 plus year career in banking and also served on the Champaign County Board.

The Treasurer is appointed by the Mayor with trustee approval. The Treasurer provides for the processing of all financial data in a timely manner. This allows the Village Board to monitor budgetary requirements, invest funds, and to comply with all local, state and federal laws.  

The Village Board believes financial transparency promotes accountability and provides information to the citizens of the Village about what their local government is doing. Residents can stay informed and learn about local government revenue, spending and debt.
